How Does a HydraFacial Work?
HydraFacial is a non-invasive treatment that is performed using a machine instead of your estheticians’ hands. Using the HydraFacial machine allows for deeper penetration of the customized products with longer lasting results. The facial will be performed in three steps: cleanse, extract, and hydrate leaving you with glowing skin.
During step one, the skin gets a deep cleansing and prepped for step two. The patented vortex technology gently loosens the dead skin and debris and suctions off your skin.
Next, your esthetician will use the same technology, but a different tip, to do extractions. The power of the HydraFacial will pull the oil and dead skin cells, dirt and sweat, impurities that accumulate in pores, leading to blemishes.
The last step is where the magic happens. Since a balance of moisture is essential for the health and appearance of the skin, serums are applied to replenish its hydration.
Those serums contain antioxidants and peptides, which protect your skin and fight signs of aging. Since the peptides are applied to the skin using the HydraFacial device, it is able to get deeper into the dermis and last longer.
Despite its name, HydraFacial can be performed on other areas of the body, such as the neck, back, and thighs, as well. Ask your esthetician how you can customize your treatment to fit your needs.

How Is a HydraFacial Different From Traditional Facials?
There are facials, and then there is HydraFacial. The HydraFacial is in a class of its own because of its state-of-the-art technology, three-step process, and ability to be customized.
With a traditional facial, exfoliation and extractions are usually done by hand. With a HydraFacial, a strong but gentle suctioning wand is used to extract impurities without irritating the skin for more consistent results.
Plus, because of this process, serums and boosters are able to reach deeper into the skin, where they are more effective. If you really want to make a difference in the look and feel of your skin, treat yourself to a HydraFacial.
Are There Different Types of HydraFacials?
At Revive Medspa, we offer customizable HydraFacial treatments.
Our standard option is the Signature HydraFacial®. In addition to purified and moisturized skin, you will also enjoy a stress-relieving neck and shoulder massage.
The Deluxe HydraFacial® is our next, and most popular, option. It adds about ten minutes to the treatment. With this, your skin therapist will select boosters based on your skin type and goals.
For example, if you want to look younger, a DermaBuilder booster can smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. Or choose the JLO GLO booster to get that glazed donut glow. Boosters are also available to address uneven tone, dark spots, inflammation, and more. You can also swap out the booster for a dermaplaning, to remove all those pesky fine hairs.
A Platinum HydraFacial®, a 90-minute treatment, brings you the best of what a HydraFacial has to offer. It starts with a lymphatic drainage massage, which reduces puffiness while making skin look plumper.
You’ll then experience the benefits of the Signature HydraFacial® and Deluxe HydraFacial® followed by LED light therapy to make you look even more youthful.
In addition to LED light therapy and lymphatic drainage, you’ll also be able to further enhance your appearance with an Eye or Lip Perk for a brighter eye area or plumper lips.

Does a HydraFacial Require a Recovery Period?
There is no recovery time needed with a HydraFacial. It does not cause side effects like bruising or swelling. But you do want to make sure you use your sunscreen starting 24hours after treatment.
Many people get their treatment on a middle-of-the-day break and then return to work because it is so quick. However, you should wait several hours before showering or washing your face.
You should also wait to wear makeup for at least a day. You’ll likely be able to see a difference in your skin immediately.
While results are visible after a single treatment, many patients choose to undergo multiple treatments for maximum enhancement.
Is a HydraFacial Right for Me?
